2 days left... :'(

Theres only 2 days left of TY and everyone is freaking out! Its really hard to get all the things we've done over the year together! Its Thursday now and our TY night is on Monday... Summer here we come.. I'm going to miss Banba :( I had such a great year.. This is my last post of TY. Thank you Mrs.L for such a great year, I loved every single bit of it. Good luck to everyone in 5th year. I'll mis my class but its not like ill never see them again. Thank you for a great year girls!

Its coming to the end...

Hey :D

Well only 2 weeks left of ty..... Its so upsetting.. The year went incredibly fast! It was so amazing! Soon enough I'll be writing my very last TY blog post :(..

Anyway the next two weeks are going to be VERY stressful and VERY busy. Our TY night is coming up on the 28th of may! TY night is the night were our parent come in to see everything we've done in TY! We have to get together EVERYTHING we have done and put the up in the hall. I'm in charge of making sure that Banbas music work is on the music stand! I've to work with Leah :D Were going to get together soon and sort out what we have to put up.

Rwanda

Last week my class Banba finished watching a movie called Hotel Rwanda. It is about the conflict between the Hutus and the Tutsis. The Hutu's were killing the Tutsi because of other people trying to take over.

It was horrific. The movie really mad me think about what war does to family's and how people in America didn't care because they were Africans. It really mad me very upset. I couldn't understand how some Americans could just sit by and watch this happen. But not all of the Americans were bad, there were a good few who tried their hardest to help the Tutsi. I found it very strange that no one had ever heard of the conflict that went on there. If your reading this and you have never heard of this conflict i advise that you watch "Sometimes in April" or "Hotel Rwanda". The movies will really make you think.

Scifest :D

Yesterday my year went to a science competition called Scifest! We all had great projects and $ groups from our school won awards! One of those groups was mine! We got overall winner in the life sciences section :D we were really happy because we had gotten into the young scientist and won nothing and now all our hard work was paid off! We all had a great day out! congratulations to all the girls who won awards!

Ah the sun :D

Hey :D

The weather in Ireland has been AMAZING this past week! Everyone is out in shorts and all! (in case you didn't know that's strange for Ireland.)

Anyway getting to my story..
My class Banba organised the 1st year sports day yesterday :D It was so much fun! And it was great because of the weather :D I was in charge of taking down the results of each game, the games were:

• Long Jump
• Sprints
• Javelin
• Hurdles
• 600m Race
• Relay
• Triple Jump
• High Jump
• Discuss
• Shot Put

Each Class from first year chose 4 people to do each game. The classes were Sapphire, Pearl, Amber, Ruby and Emerald. I was in charge of taking down Sapphire's points. The points went like this:

• 1st place - 6 points
• 2nd place - 5 points
• 3rd place - 4 points
• 4th place - 3 points
• 5th place - 2 points
• 6th place - 1 point

If someone from Sapphire came in either one of these places I would write down the amount of points they got in that game. At the end we added up all the points from each game and came out with the winning class which was class Pearl.

It was a really great day in the sun!

Today we had a talk about geography :O I'm doing it for the leaving cert and a women came in to talk to us about it in collage, it was actually very interesting and i found out a lot that I didn't know, I'll probably do it for collage :D

Hey :D

Yesterday my year went to an assault course! It was amazing but incredibly cold and tyring :S it was a race. There was 2 other schools, one was a boys school the other was a girls school but there was only a few people from each school there. Apparently the other schools had trained for it so we were all kind of scared :O when the race started i was tyred in the first few minutes. It was an obstacle course. The water was freezing, if you went in too fast you could get shock. It was horrible but so fun :D
