This is video of one of the songs we did in our musical. The video keeps zooming in on a girl in the orchestra but don't mind that, this is just a way for to show you what it looked like. This was one of my favourite songs in the musical. I'm the girl sitting at the front of the stage on the right hand side. Enjoy :D

And.... Blackout :D
Hey :D
The picture here was in a newspaper. It was a really big production. This is all of the children with Maria who is the main role and was played by Leah (who is amazing). I am 3rd from the right underneath the word 'at'. It may not be a great photo of me but ah well. the costumes we were wearing were the first clothes we come out in, we called them our 'uniforms' but they aren't our real school uniforms. The cast and crew became such good friends and we were so sad on our last night.
I know I haven't written a blog in a while but that's because I've been very busy in November. Our school was having a production of the sound of music! I played Louisa which is one of the children. We held the show last week and it was definitely one of the best experiences of my life! There was so much stress but it was worth it in the end. The children's changing rooms ended up being under the stage so that we could get on stage in time. We literally came off stage, ran down the stairs, got changed REALLY quickly and then ran back up and on stage!

Whats in store :D
Hey :D
This week is anti-bullying week (friendship week). Every year our school holds a walk for the students on the Friday of that week. Its called the Fun Walk. Each year is given a different color and each class from each year come up with a song that is associated with friends and dance to preform to the judges. When i was in first and second year (so 2 or 3 years ago) everybody use to dress up, in first year our color was red and we were high school musical, in second year our color was orange and we were umpa lumpas ! Sadly a rule came in when i was in third year that said people were not aloud to dress up for the walk anymore because we were spending too much money...
BUT our year are ignoring that rule and are completely going all out! Its going to be so much fun :D ! Ill tell you all about that in my next blog, just in case any of the other classes read this ;)
That is the first thing we are doing this week.
Here's my to do list for this week:

Our own creations :D
Tomorrow my year are going to Naas for a workshop on mini company :D. Mini company is a class that we have twice a week. Its were we get into groups and come up with an idea for a product to sell. We have to do everything on our own, like contacting people to make the product, getting the product, selling the product but first of all coming up with the product, which by far is one of the hardest part. Altogether its really good and so much fun :D

Carlingford :D
Hi :D
This is our third week of TY and it has been by far the most tyring. On Monday my whole year went to Carlingford Adventure Centre at 7 o clock in the morning. we got a double Decker bus from a garage close to our school at 7 and we arrived at around 8 o clock.
As soon as we got off the bus and got our bags we were moved to a store room so that we could leave our bags and we were brought straight out to our first activity! They gave us army jump suits and army caps (which were HUGE on us) and then they gave us our lazer guns! We were going lazer shooting! Once we had our jump suit, caps and guns we were brought up an extremely steep hill and into a forest. It was amazing, it looked like we had just entered a war, there were huts and trench type things everywhere. We put 3 red lights on our heads and turned on our guns. When you got shot the gun would make an 'ugh' noise as if a person was getting hit, we had 100 health and lots of bullets (lazers). When you ran out of bullets you had to reload your gun. Our 'war names' came up on our gun, I was called Saber. This way we new who was hitting us. to shoot the other team you had to aim for the red lights on there heads, you knew you were hitting them because the lights would flash. When your health reached 0 the gun shouted 'medic, man down, man down' and the lights on your head would turn on permanently. My team won 3 times! It was so much fun!
When we got back we took off the suits and had lunch (sausages and chips) and then went on a 25 minute walk to the challenge course. This was a bunch of little group puzzles you had to do with your team to get gems. If you finished a challenge you got 2 or 4 gems, the team with the most gems at the end wins. There was one of these activity's that i really enjoyed, it was called CB( Communication Breakdown) this was a little tin shed with 3 floors built into it, you went in the entrance and had to crawl your way through to the exit, going up and down every so often, the only problem was that it was pitch black inside and we could not see a thing! Only thing i could see was my wrist bands that glow in the dark, that was handy because i was able to point somewhere and people could see were! Our instructor for the challenge course was John.. What a hero. We got so close to him that we were chatting for ages! In the end my team got 17 gems, we came second in our year.
After our 25 minute back to the centre we had dinner. It was spaghetti bolognese. But before we had dinner we got sorted into our rooms, mine was number 24 and i was with my friends ellen, becca, aoife and aisling. It ended up that one of the groups in the year got split up into diffrent rooms. Helen and Emma were in one room by themselves and they were aloud find another room with a spare bed if they wanted. My room had one extra bed and we were just across the hall from them. So to make sure they both had a good time we took the matress off one of the beds and put it on the floor in our room. This way we ended up having7 people in our room so it was much more fun.
After dinner we went on a night line, we went up the huge hill again and into the forest. They gave us a helmet and a blindfold and we had to walk throught the forest holding onto a rope with our left hand and the person infront of us with our right. It was really difficult but so much fun.
When we got back we all went into the downstairs common room. There was a boys school there and on of the lads had a guitar. We ended up having a huge jamming session and so many people (including me) got up and sang, it was so good. The instructors said that that has never happened before and that were one of the best groups theve had.
The next day (our last day) wasnt that great, we did rock climbing and absailing first and then after we did orientiring (treasure hunting, sorta). The orientiring was a hike, me and ellen went the wrong way and walked half way up a mountain on a really steep slope. I was so tyred after that.

A new year :D
Hi :D
My names Sarah and I've been in TY now for nearly 2 weeks. It is amazing! Already we've got a good bit of work like projects and musicals but it is a really good year, even though its only been 2 weeks. In TY there is practically no individual work, everything is in groups. Its great because it helps us to make more friends! I love all of my teachers and the classes are great fun :D.
The first week was pretty hectic! We were confused about were to go but we got there eventually. I love my class, its called Banba and I'm making so many new friends and even becoming closer to old ones :D.
My favourite days of the week are Thursday and Friday. The last 3 classes on a Thursday are left for Dancing, Pilates and Photography. Its so much fun and is great exercise :D. Friday is my favourite day, we've only got 2 normal classes, by that i mean that we have English and Spanish and then the rest are fun :D.
We've got a lot of things coming up, theres the young scientist, carlingford (an adventure centre), mini company competition, musical (the sound of music) and so much more! Last Monday we did a social development thing. It went on for the whole day and it was really good :D, we learnt how to work in groups and i became so comfortable with everyone in my class. i just know I'm going to make so many new friends. :)
Already we have got 5 projects to work on, some we have deadlines to but others we don't. the projects are in geography, science, mini company, home ec. and religion. Geography is probably our biggest one so far, we have to do a trip around the world with our partner with €12,000 each. its going to be a bit difficult but we will get it eventually. mini company, the young scientist and home ec. should be could because we make things in them. in home ec we get a plain whit top and plain white trousers and we have to make a costume out of them. we've got great ideas and i cant wait to start.
This is going to be a fun year,
